The basic bibliography presented here is the result of the process of cataloguing the manuscript and printed books of polyphony and of the incorporation to the database of the names (and very basic data) of composers; thus the prevalence of catalogues and dictionary entries of composers. Our aim is not to present only a list of bibliography, but to relate every item of bibliography with specific aspects of the entries in the database, when we need that item to document the contents of a particular entry. Thus, in some instances or for certain topics we have incorporated more specific bibliography. We hope that, as the basic tasks of the project are being accomplished, the bibliography will be much more complete and up-to-date. Thanks for your patience.
