Juan Martínez was "maestro de los mozos de coro" at Seville Cathedral from ca. 1525 to after 1545. The attributions of two works, a Salve regina and a Te Deum, in E-GRcr 02 to the theorist Juan Martínez should be considered tentative, but plausible; although the manuscript was copied in 1785, it contains retrospective repertory from the 16th century.
