Biography: 

Pedro Carrera Lanchares studied with José Lidón and was organist at the Real Convento del Carmen Calzado in Madrid. Carrera published several works: Ritual carmelitano (Madrid, 1783); Salmodia orgánica. Juego de versos en todos los tonos (Madrid, 1792);  Forma canendi in missis servanda secundum rito sanctae romanae ecclessiae probotanque Toletanae cathedralis Hispaniarum primatis praxim. Prima pars (1805); and Adiciones a la salmodia orgánica. Versos de los tonos primero, sexto y cuarto, punto bajo y los del último (1814).
