María Gertrudis took her final vows on 18 August 1761. According to Alfonso de Vicente (1989), p. 16, she was born in Oviedo in 1743, and died in Ávila in 1781. Death date:

Nationality:
Periods of service:
1760-1813 Monasterio de Santa Ana, Ávila, singer, violinist, harpsichordist and organist.
Biography:

As María Gembero-Ustárroz consulted in several documents in Madrid, Archivo Histórico Nacional (E-Mah), María Teresa Bernarda Lasegue (Segue) Díez entered the Monastery of Santa Ana de Ávila on 15 June 1760, together with her older sister María Gertrudis. María Teresa Lasegue took final vows on 22 April 1762.

According to Alfonso de Vicente (1989), p. 16, María Teresa was born in Oviedo (Asturias) in 1746 and died in Ávila in "1831" [recte 1813]. Later on, Vicente (2000), p. 529, corrected his mistake and provided María Josefa Carrasco's correct  deathdate. Vicente (1989), p. 18, also indicated that the two sisters Lasegue (Segue) had studied with Martín Vidal, singer and instrumentist (violon, violon) at the Oviedo Cathedral.

The ascriptions "Leon" in E-V 10 (10r) and "Jº de Leon" in E-V 04 (36v), respectively, probably refer to Jerónimo León, chapelmaster at Valladolid cathedral between 1627 and 1629, but there is no list of works for this composer in the Diccionario (1999-2002). Juan de León (II), a contemporary chapelmaster at Segovia cathedral has sacred and secular production, but these two works ascribed to "León" in Valladolid have not been included in his list of works.
