Cornelis Verdonck should not be confused with Jan Verdonck (ca. 1546 — after 1624). The latter has no biographical entry in The New Grove or in MGG; to him, though, should be attributed the works in French and Dutch ascribed to "Ian Verdonck" in RISM 1571/15; see the following link to that printed book: https://hispanicpolyphony.eu/source/26909
