This article looks over the role and influence of some Spanish musicians from the Fourteenth and early Fifteenth century, such as the theorists Juan Gil de Zamora (Johannes Aegiddius Zamorensis), Petrus Hispanus, Guillermus de Podio and Ramos de Pareja; and the composers Fernando de Córdoba, Johannes Cornago, Pere Oriola, Bernard Icart, Johannes de Yllianas, Juan Escribano and Juan del Encina.
