Martín Carrasco, Vicenta
According to Alfonso de Vicente (1989), p. 16, "Vicenta Martín, cantora, arpista y organista" (singer, harpist and organist), born in Toro in 1767, was professed as a nun in the Monastery of Santa Ana de Ávila in 1784, and she died there in 1815.
He entered as novice in Santa Ana in 1783, since a document in the monastery's archive, Leg. 3, dated 3 January 1783 (examined by María Gembero-Ustárroz) is the petition to accept Vicenta Martín Carrasco as nun musician, together with Francisca Tejedor Aparicio, another women musician also born in Toro. The petition was accepted the day after to be voted by the community of Santa Ana.
