Francisco Sabatán worked as second organist at the El Pilar Church, in Zaragoza, for eight years (ca. 1749-1757). He was organist at the Collegiate church of Daroca (Zaragoza) for the period 1757-1768, being mentioned in 1763 also as chapelmaster. In 1766 he had the opportunity to go to Santa María's church in Calatayud (Zaragoza), but he remained in Daroca until 1768, when he won the position of organist at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.
